This morning (it was still dark!), Andi and I got a peek at the Spring 2008 collections from Jack Spade and Kate Spade. My favorites were:

I - Kate Spade "Taxi" mittens
II - Kate Spade "Hi 5" mittens
III - Jack Spade leather journal cover (for hugging our beloved Delfonics books, no less). I love me some finger ribbon.

And not-really-part-of-the-collection-but-excellent-anyway:

IV - The shelf art direction. I could live in their library.
V - The food. Oh, the miniature food. They always have the best Fashion Week food, and this morning was no exception. This is a scoop of scrambled egg atop a potato cone. Other highlights: one-inch square steak and eggs--with a little fried quail egg; mango and watermelon lollipops; and tiny glazed donuts.

Good work. Look out for the Jack Spade reversible tote bag made in collaboration with the Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co., with proceeds supporting the excellent 826.

And I'm pretty sure this beat being at the tents.
